Work in progress Project Titan: my delayed Ryzen 5900x Gamer Build!

I honestly dont even think those 180s on tiny PCBs would work.

Theres only about 3-4mm between the top of gpu PCB and the side panel.

Still feeling really dumb.

So, uh, time to buy an RX9070? Hah... sigh. Or something shorter. Shame though, the case has sooo much going for it. I did my due diligence, researched gpu compatibility. There were some posts aboit gpu length, which I checked with my 3080 and it was fine.

Oh well, it'll be running like this for the next little bit:

And there's no option to shift that fan bracket towards the back to give some more space for wires to go between it and the GPU? Would require some new holes of course. But that case is so compact that may not be an option I suppose.

Well, perhaps you could cable manage it a bit and leave the panel off? It still looks pretty darn cool :) Assuming you have no cats though... mine seems fascinated with fans...
My cat should be ok with it, my last build always had a side panel off, because the case layout was crap for airflow (gpu stuck up directly against a piece of glass ugh). Cant really bend the pcie cables anywhere, its a like an ugly growth sticking out the side of the case.

Sadly nope. The 240/280 rad/fan bracket has tabs that go into recesses, to allow the side panel to attach flush. This is I know im pretty much screwed for the pcie cables, because there's basically no room between side panel and that fan bracket.

Looked into some options for those pcie cables, and nothing seems promising. The 180 "U"-shaped adapters wont fit between the card and fan bracket. The EVGA specific thing is like 10+ mm tall and only redirects 2x 8pin cables, this card has 3x 8pin cables. And generic 90 degree cables from Amazon still seem too tall as well.

My only options:
1- Mod some 180 deg adapters by pulling the the new female connectors off and soldering on some PCIe extension cable ends.... but I really doubt that'll work. The solders will be directly facing the rad's fans, and will have to take a really sharp turn to tuck into the case, if they even can
2- swap / trade my previous EVGA 3080 for something similar, just with a shorter PCB. Tri -slot and 3x 8pin is fine, its the fact that my 3080s PCB is beyond full height, and the pcie connectors are at the top edge, aiming Up (if in a regular case) that's the problem.
3- .... buy a team red GPU that fits.
4- rebuild the entire PC into a different case...

🤷‍♂️ dont know what else I can do.

Looking at the pics again... with a riser cable, could you suspend the GPU where the radiator is instead? And put the radiator where the GPU is currently?

case looks wise is decent but they sure didn't think about space for modern gpu power cables. I can't do those small cases, hard enough cable management in mid towers.

Maybe possible... but probably not? The gpu would hang directly in front of the mobo ans PSU as well, not to mention the modding of pcie slot space on the top of the case. Interesting idea though.

Honestly I think it's more an EVGA problem this time, even though I love their stuff. The GPU PCB being taller than full height, and Then the pcie connectors sticking up directly above that? Its no wonder I never found mention of GPU height problems with this case: 99% of all such massive gpus have a notch in their PCB so that the PCIe cables, once connected, aren't "taller" than the rest of the card!

I had a look at my MSI RTX 3080 I have sitting around waiting to go in my daughter's machine. The connectors are in a similar location. I think you will probably have to go to a different generation or manufacturer.

The higher end GPUs just weren't developed with small form factor cases in mind. And the newer gens are even crazier. I just finished two builds for family, one with a 5070 Ti and one with a 5080, both Gigabyte, and the size of those GPUs was mind boggling. They even included a support stand to prevent sag! :) Pretty nice design actually, but so required that Gigabyte included it.

The dream of that level of GPU power in a small package is a ways off yet. I thought you might get away with the 3080, but sorry this is working out this way @CMetaphor

Not sure what the side panel looks like, but what about cable tying those GPU cables together in a neat bundle, then dremeling a hole for them in the side panel, and then creating some sort of cover or cage (3D printed perhaps?) to screw on and protect the cables?
