HUB review of 9950X3D2, I already read the article and the CPU is pretty pointless. Also, GN got blacklisted by AMD, they didn't even get a product briefing.

EDIT: not just GN, per VCZ summary:

Gamers Nexus reacted strongly after being denied a sample, but it was not the only major outlet left out. ComputerBase, one of the first publications to confirm the dual 3D V-Cache SKU, was also denied. TechPowerUp, HardwareLuxx, eTeknix, PC Watch, and several other outlets appear to be in the same...

The cpu is exactly what I thought it would be. AMD has said for a long time that it didn’t make sense to release a cpu like this, but people kept wanting one. Now it’s out, carries a premium cpu price (2 perfectly binned ccds and with vcache on both) and is exactly what amd said it would be.

It has a reasonable gain in the very few select tasks that can use all the cores and that are memory/cache dependant. Other than that niche situation, it is the same performance as already released CPUs, but at a higher price tag. A pass for 99% of people.

Nothing for Techpowerup either.

That 270k plus is looking like the bargain of the century though.
I'm not aware of any bad stuff TPU said about AMD. As for 270K, if you are on the same platform it's a pretty good upgrade. But for people like me on the old 5800X, the upgrade is going to be hard to decide. If the 5800X3D re-release is like $400, then I may as well get a used 7800X3D combo for $700 (assuming I can convince the user here to ship) and then pave the way for Zen6. If you are rocking a 7800X3D already, even upgrading the 9800X3D is kind of iffy at this point let alone the 9950X3D2.

Honestly, most people with the money to spend on a GPU like this are gaming at a much higher resolution than 1080p and are going to be gpu bound. I just don't get it. I'm happy with my 9950x non-x3d running at 1440 ultrawide.

I wanna tinker ever since I seen that article if the German/Russian guy using the x3D cache as actual storage I been wondering if we could do that with higher end parts.
