Been over a decade since the last time I posted or even built a new computer...well, custom build...
Here is what to expect!
-Chassis will be all 3D printed.
-Likely semi open concept. Compact setups are to much of a pain to design and build. DO not intend to print someone else's project.
-Will be using my old friend; The Swiftech MCW5002-64T TEC CPU cooler. No idea if ANYONE is still using a Peltier cooler anymore. I have continued to run this cooler on 3 different processors over the last decade. With TDP getting lower on newer processors, this baby just gets better and better.
-Going small this round. Going with a mini-itx board this round.
-Not going super high-end, but enough to have good overall numbers.
-Liquid cooling for the TEC block will be done with Hard Pipe.
Current Hardware to be used. Again, not going for super high-end; however i think this should perform pretty well.
Motherboard: MSI B550I Gaming Edge Max Wifi
Processor: Rysen 7 3700X
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-2400 8gbx2
Graphics: MSI Aero 1070Ti
Storage: M.2 NVMe WD Black SN850 500GB Gen4
PSU: Enermax Galaxy EVO 1250W
Beyond the 3D printed case, believe the Rysen 7 under a TEC block will be the MOST interesting part of this project.
Have had an originally run a Phantom II and Rysen 5 with this same TEC block, she always runs between 8-15c under typical conditions.
Need a name for this one, Any thoughts?
Love to here some thoughts on this one.
Toss a few photos for viewing pleasure. At this point I'm prototyping parts and have no fully built model of the chassis. Post something on that later.
Yes, dusty!
