remember how most of dreamed of a wicked Logitech (or Klipsch Pro Media) sound system for our computers?

He must have worked for Logitech or got some really good deal as I don't understand the logic at all. 6x Z5500's would have run about $3000, you could buy much better audio gear for that price...

I have a set of Z5500s here and never really liked how they sounded.

I had the predecessors, Z680s. Sub was way too loud and boomy. At level 1 it was too loud, so I had to have it off all the time.

I still have a Logitech z560 (4.1 system, but I am only running 2.1). Decent enough for what I have always used it for. A bit boomy/muddy on the bass.

Yeah I was going to say "sloppy" bass as I wasn't sure what word to use... also had the Z560 (4.1) which I want to say was better, even though its older. I'd say my Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1's were the "best" but the amplifier died and I had it repaired once under warranty, then it died again and now I use the sub as a "stand" for my PC when working on it :D

I still have a set of z5500 and for the music, I listen to it did pretty well not perfect, but to say the bass is slopy is not wrong just which mine still worked they have some problems but can't get rid of them cause the speakers still work pretty good. but 12x5500 sets really make little sense unless he worked for Logitech as others have thought. cool post MR.F
