You IDIOT, 1500 hours is too much! What's your record hours played on what game?

EverQuest hasn't logged in for years but I was very much end tier raiding as in we were competing against the Asian guild for first clears on brand new raid content and sometimes beating them. I think I at one point reached top 10 best equipped enchanters on the server or very close to it. I think I was only 1 of 5 on the server to even get my epic 2.0.

It would easily be in the thousands of hours before I stopped playing. I played pretty regularly over about a 9 year period.

96% completion on GranTurismo 3 before my brother in law over wrote my save file would probably come in second. That final license was a nightmare to complete

I only ever play single player games so I don't have those ultra high numbers. But I do ok.
Steam

Epic, for sure thought I had more in GC3.

New EA app doesn't track AFAICT. But I had close to 1000 hours in to Dragon Age Inquisition.

I can only imagine how many hours I sunk into Star Wars: Galaxies during grad school, some quick math suggests my first year in Texas would have been close to 2,000 hours. I was so bored, I had to start a second account (as a Weaponsmith). o_O

yes I am 60 yrs old and still game I spend a long time on some older games

I don't have a nice fancy screenshot like lowfat does but I have a few games with an exceedingly large amount of hours

Steam hours -
Mass Effect 2 - 1043hrs (yea I know I have a problem)
Mass Effect Legendary - 780hrs
Civilization V - 621hrs
Skyrim - 476hrs
Mass Effect 1 - 443hrs
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD - 347hrs
GTA V - 341hrs
Fallout New Vegas - 297hr
Elder Scrolls IV - 275hr

GOG
Witcher 3 - 660hrs (subtract like 80hrs or so off of that, accidently left it running minimized for a weekend that I was out of town, whoops)
Cyberpunk 2077 - 460hrs

There are others that I can only imagine the hours I put in. Like Civ 4 (any earlier civ to be honest) or Fallout 3 (which shows 6 minutes in steam, I believe that is wrong, I would say it is much closer to double what New Vegas has). Oh and I did not count any clicker games like cookie clicker or stuff like that since it really doesn't count.

So yea having 1500 on a single one isn't bad, frankly I think that is great. Just means you have certainly gotten what you paid for and more.

And the other thing to consider, any games that get over 100-200 hrs of good play time, that is excellent return on investment I would say! Not many other hobbies can match it :) Play on man!

That is a good point. I'm sure I put an ungodly number of hours in to TES1: Arena. Played that game as soon as I got home from school for hours, or WC2:BNE, or WC3.

Just curious why the unit measure of hours is the typical measurement of time spent in a game? 😁
Would we feel better if it was in days? weeks? years?

Mass Effect 2 - 43.458 days, 6.208 weeks, 0.118984 years

Or the other way, do we want longer numbers?

Mass Effect 2 - 62580 minutes, 3754800 seconds, 3751200000000000 nanoseconds or the super precise planck time

70 326 134 169 520 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000

aka 7.032 613 416 952 ×1049 Planck time
