Any reason to go with a powered rod over changing the magnesium one every third or fourth year? One of these will prevent premature failure.
They guarantee 20 years. I've never swapped a rod out so I couldn't say one way or the other.Any reason to go with a powered rod over changing the magnesium one every third or fourth year?
Yes, it's an interesting challenge having to add metric tools and adjust. We've been so dependent on the US imperial measurement, now that most of the world and particularly China is making everything in metric. Lumber is still imperial. But it is annoying at times to have to halt a project because you're missing some metric sized drill to match metric hardware, or you need a specific piece of metric hardware. At least a lot of the measuring tools I have like tapes, calipers, etc are dual marked.Starting the move away from imperial for woodworking. I am so over it.
