I run my internet gear off a separate CyberPower pure sine UPS, just the ONT, router, and a small switch.
I actually ended up doing this because the brief transfer delay on my main UPS was driving me crazy during online gaming. Every time the power flickered, the UPS would switch over fast enough for the PC to stay on, but my ONT would still reboot. That meant the internet would drop for a few minutes, and it always seemed to happen at the worst possible moments when I was in online matches or playing browser based casino games. I’d get kicked out instantly and lose any unsaved progress.
At one point I was even reading casino reviews on sites like https://somagyarkaszinok.com hoping to find something that either wasn’t so dependent on a constant connection or at least saved your session better, but it turned out pretty much all of them are still heavily tied to being online, so even a split second interruption was enough to kill the game.
Turned out the ONT power brick was just really sensitive to that split second switchover. I fixed it by putting the ONT on a small DC mini UPS instead, while leaving the router and switch on the main UPS. Since then the internet stays up even during short outages and voltage dips.
For a main gaming PC though, I’d still definitely go 1500VA pure sine like everyone is recommending here.
