    So many conflicting reports on the whole downclock/won't oc "well" thing =\ . Perhaps water is the way to go on these things.

    For a budget rig that won't be doing much gaming I'm sure it will be fine. The psu seems lil overkill, but if you're adding a beefy gpu later it will prove handy.

    Haha I was pretty close to getting a GTX 295 and hoping to step up to a Fermi based card. Glad I held off since Fermi based consumer level cards are still nowhere in sight...

    I've been hearing that a 2x8pin pci-e 5990 isn't in the works, or not anytime soon anyway. Maybe a 5890 is next instead.

    To really hit a good oc you'd have to get a new HSF for either, so yeah stick with the i5 imo as well.
