Just picked one up from NewEgg, $352($299 + taxes + recycling fees + free shipping) shipped to my door from ordering, took 20 hours to get to my door, not bad :thumb:

Anyways, I wanted a larger monitor from my dual 20" WSXGA+(1680x1050) but was always resisting, but I just had to pull the trigger. And for a TN panel, wow is it ever great. The viewing angles are pretty good for a TN panel. Would of been great if it was 2560x1900.

I really wanted the 2709w, but for this price, it was too hard to say no!

Viewing angle video, recorded on my Bold, so crappy FPS haha: YouTube - Hanns-G HG-281DPB Black 28" LCD Monitor viewing angles

Besides the viewing angles, how is the monitor ? I have been wondering whether or not I should get that monitor, specially with the sale going on at NEwegg.

It's bright, its sharp, and overall, I'm very happy on it. Happy enough to pull the trigger(again) and bought another one, dual screen 28" :D

There is no swivel stand, but thats to be expected. I would of happily paid the $399 for this monitor as it has been sitting at that price for the past year, but I resisted, until now. The I-Inc 28" LCD is the same LCD panel., just in a different and uglier body.

edit: Oh, and more ports, it only has HDMI and VGA, but it does provide a HDMI-> DVI cable. But I won't be using this with my PS3 which is downstairs, so its fine for me, but this can be a dealbreaker for some. Also, there are built in speakers, includes the audio cables, as well as an audio 3.5mm to RCA cable too.

I think you meant 2560x1600 ;)

Btw don't ever get a 30 incher or you won't be happy with the res on the 28, I'm speaking from experience ;)

I have the i-inc 28" and it's great ( well that is what i have my mother running in her room and she loves it ) almost 2 years old now
