3D Printer / CNC discussion thread

Started using X2D today. Still only 1 nozzle prints, as I won't be using the 2nd nozzle until the Comgrow SH02 dryer.

First print was pretty disappointing TBH w/ the stock profile. Surface quality was poor. I am really missing some of my settings from Orcaslicer, which doesn't have any X2D support yet. And the Home Assistant addon doesn't support it either. :(

Seems it took like 6 months to get H2D support in Orcaslicer. REALLY hope that doesn't end up being the case.

So AMS2 can't use dry function in the printer is doing anything as printer doesn't supply enough power. But it does have an external power barrel. Bambu wants $41 for a PSU. I have a bunch of Mean Well PSUs from past projects that I'm not using. And had a barrel jack laying cut off from an old Netgear switch, which so happened to fit. Now I'm able to use printer and AMS to dry filament at the same time. Definitely no longer will need the old food dehydrator now.

Still do not like the 24 hour max limit tho. That ain't going to do anything to dry most filament. I'm hoping once I can get the printers connected to Home Assistant, that I'll be able to set up automations to start drying automatically.

Besides a basic af poop shoot, this is the first mod to the printer. Riser so the PFTE tubes aren't constantly rubbing against the edge of the glass. Still need to print the TPU gasket, which I'll do after the filament has some time to dry.
