Looks like ill go with the zalman flex, nice review and price. Will do with dual scythe s-flex fans, either 1200 or 1600rpm. Memory i think will go down to either The mushkin redline ascent 6-7-6-18 6gb kit, or the corsair dominator gt 8-8-8-24 6gb kit which is pc1600. The mushkin kit has better rated timings but the corsair kit is pc-1600 and appears to be of better quality. Corsair kit is only approx $20 more too.

Can always wait a few weeks for something better in the pc world! Couldnt find any firm release date on it either. Found a local shop 10min from that price matched my setup within $50 of the big boys in toronto with only a couple of changes. Heres the final build, everything is ordered.

CPU - core i7 930 <-- didnt know they were out lol and same price as 920
MOBO - Asus Rampage II Extreme
RAM - Corsair Dominator 6gig C8 kit
Case - Antec 1200
Cooler - Zalman Flex

I have an R2E and am happy with it. Just a warning though. It's wider then a normal ATX board. It wouldn't fit into a Silverstone Fortress cause of that, was very tight in an Antec 300 and pretty much the same in Antec 902 also.

I'd swap out the case for either a HAF 932 or ATCS 840. Great cases if you ever decide to go for WC, and the 1200 is effing loud! Hell, i can barely stand my 900 with stock fans on load. Just throwing that out there.

Aside from the fact that you likely don't need Corsair Dominator RAM (though you can certainly get it) and that I really hate Antec's "gamer" cases, looks good.

I hope you understand than the 1200 and the 900 are in 2 differents classes, the 1200 have way better cable management, and the cooling is so efficient, compare to a Haf 932, that you can run the fan at slow

I'm aware they're different chassis, but if I'm correct they do use the same fans...the 1200 just uses about twice as many of them. Run on low, I can barely stand the 3 120mm fans and 1 200mm fan in my 900. I can't imagine using 6 120mm fans, even on low.

As for the HAF, while you may not be able to adjust the fan speed through some sort of dial or switch, at least the fans are 200mm so they run at very low speeds anyway (800rpm or thereabouts). They probably move the same amount as two or three 120mm fans, but at a much lower noise level.

so you base you recommendations on a probably
