Does anybody know what the number designation is for the double sided 3M tape we typically see on things like magnetic mounting plates? I'd like to see if I can order a roll of it, but don't want to get the wrong stuff....

3M VHB 5952 is what you're looking for

Most of those look like they're foam backed... I'm looking for the thin stuff like what you can see here on these mounts...

https://www.amazon.ca/Spigen-Plates...d=1551884185&s=gateway&sr=8-7&tag=googcana-20

Those ones have a 9448A designation on them which leads me to this... https://www.amazon.ca/9448A-Double-...1884249&s=gateway&sprefix=9448,aps,151&sr=8-7 , but I'm not sure that's the right product either.

I'm currently using my double-sided sekisui thermal tape (does the trick) but was wondering if I could source the 3M stuff that manufacturers seem to be using.

I use 468MP a lot. It is very thin stuff and holds extremely well. Will continue to hold till around 200C. Can be bought in thin rolls or in sheets.

That looks to be the stuff. Adhesive Transfer Tape is probably the terminology I should have been searching under.

Hell there's even a 5M 1/2" roll for a decent price from digikey. :)

Thanks
