anyone try Xpenology NAS?

Sounds like a fun project. If it supports your HBA, that setup should make a pretty serious NAS/personal cloud build. Six 6TB drives in the UGREEN NASync N3 already gives plenty of room to work with, and these newer systems are surprisingly capable once you start loading services onto them. Definitely worth checking HBA passthrough/driver compatibility before going all in though.

i tried Truenas didnt like how every single app needed a server to run wanted something that just worked installing a app to manage photos required a server to function id think installing the app would be the server part of it nope.

going to try this since i can setup the apps and they work but it all depends if it can read the HBA.
