Something like this is exactly what I need. I literally browse the internet and do spreadsheets. Thats it.

No idea but IMO when AMD APU is ready / good enough, Intel was throwing the NUC format to ASUS anyway. No real need to design a spec mini-PC when you got a few Chinese OEM building similar stuff.
I have quite a few Beelink Mini-PCs, absolutely love them. Use them to run Debian and docker.
Check uptime:
they aren't under the NUC name...but there are AMD MiniPC under their P series. I'm thinking it was probably part of the purchase deal in that NUC remain Intel only.
