Finished 2nd play through finally. Dark Urge on tactician. Dark Urge is 100% the best story. Anytime I recommend the game I'm going to suggest they play this way. And the epilogue was such a nice thing to add. I wish all games did this.

I'm going to do a For Honour run but I'm going to wait. As is there are just way too many small bugs where I've needed to load. Since you can't load in FH, I'd need to force quit the damn game all the time. Not going through that hassle.

Was maybe 4-5 hours in to my Honour run. Playing as an evil drow. Wanted Minthara as a companion as that would be new to me. But now I think I'm going to restart.

Killed the grove. Minthara joined us when we had the celebration. But then she tried to kill me and I cut her down.

I burned out at Act 3, but will go back and replay from the start in a few weeks most likely. Will stick with a half-elf paladin for my initial playthrough, but really want to do a Durge playthrough after. Going to stick with being a good guy, don't think I have it in me to wipe out the grove.

Sometimes even the "role" playing has to stay within certain bounds

I try to play different roles sometimes in games, especially because I love seeing different stories and options, but more often than not I always manage to merge back into what I'm most comfortable with. I wouldn't be very successful as a method actor!

I can almost never play the bad guy. Hell, even in GTA V I really did not enjoy the torture stuff and really wish they brought back 'vigilante' mode from GTA III when you're in the cop car.

The same. I could do thief/rogue/assassin much easier years ago. Maybe with all the crap going on in the world, I'd like to go positive where possible. Will eventually play Dark Urge but pretty much played out the game, partly because of the beta testing, partly because it is a long game.

Slow close to having a full party wipe last night in act 1 fighting Nere. 3 of my party was dead. And my paladin was down to 4 health.

But I was invisible. Misty stepped to an area they couldn't reach. Then proceeded to cheese. Sniped off the 2 remaining normal enemies. As for Nere I couldn't take him 1 on 1. So I blew his ass off 3 stories down with some explosives. Even able to retrieve his head.

Act 2 Honour Mode was pretty doable. About 2/3 way through act 3.

Raphael was hard but manageable. No one died. So equipped now with the best loot I decide to go after Orin. She was not hard on my other plays. Not even in the same league as Raphael or Cazador. How I was wrong. I was shapeshifted. Her turn she takes me down to 50HP. My turn, I try to knock per prone w/ a jump ability. She uses a reaction to do 200+ damage. 50 on my form, and enough to wipe the 156HP of my normal form. Dead.


Dark Urge major spoilers
Was worried that would be game over but it just changes the storyline. Bhaal rejects me as I was too weak. So I can't even get the evil ending I was trying for.

Act 2 Honour Mode was pretty doable. About 2/3 way through act 3.

End game
Almost ready for final brain battle, this time going to free Orpheus with the hammer. Will take a break from BG3 for a while before I tackle Honour Mode - but I did start a game in honour mode earlier in the week. (playing on PC)

I was going through some music CDs that I haven't played in a while and dragged out the Mass Effect 1 soundtrack and listened to it. So, will jump back in time and see if the ME Legendary Edition looks/plays okay on the PS5. Went with PS5 because I couldn't find a PC disk version - it's all digital download - annoying.

Final battle was very hard. For the first time I couldn't kill every enemy. Like not even close. I ended up having to run past and just focus on the main baddy.


And then I started a new game immediately .

Main is once again Dark Urge. This time a barbarian monk.

Shadowheart is a war priest.

Karlac is a druid.

And Wyll is standard sorcerer.

Pretty odd party setup but seems to work so far.
