Just get an i7 unless there are i9 things that your customer needs? I still don't understand what's the difference between the i9 vs i7.

I was leaning towards 11900k and an Maximus XIII Apex (when its available), but everything Im reading tells me to stick with 10900K for OC'ability as well as 10/20 core / threads......dont think the Z490 has Thunderbolt support though....the cost of the Apex Z490 and 10900k is very appealing though.

Gamers nexus has several reviews. The 119 is junk.
If your client only needs a new PC for peripherals, just get a 114 or 116 and add in F or non F for graphics as required.

the 10 series is better bang/buck in the same way that the 3k vs 5k amd chips are, but less performance difference.

Let’s be clear. The 11th gen i9 isn’t really junk. It’s just that intel mislabeled an i7 and overcharged for it. It still performs well.
You can still get a 10900k or 10850k and run it on that board. You just lose a gen 4 nvme slot.

In 11th gen an 11600k in a good buy.
