Bitcoin mining, how do I?

Pascal is the heater for me my gpu temps shoot up another 4c about I caught it doing it this morning. Dagger and Equihash run cool considering 280x 76-78c Rx 580 66-68c.

You are correct...I thought it was dagger, but it was pascal that made the temps go way up (+5deg core, but +25deg on the vrm). I deselected it as an option in nicehash, since the slight boost in income isn't worth destroying my gpu.

Neocrypt puts alot more load on my GTX 970. But usually when it switches it give me a huge profitability increase, although only for a couple minutes tops.

I'm getting really a good rate on the 280x since the afternoon to even now hovering around 289 Sol/s $3.96.

580 is just plugging away at the usual 22.xx MH/s.

I assume you are keeping the 280X on equihash? My 280X also hovers around the 289Sol/s. Good to know that's what it should be getting (given your's is the same). I wish mine wasn't voltage locked.

I tried mining with the GeForce 660 Ti that I've been trying to kill with F@H for the past 2 years to give me an excuse to get another GPU... It doesn't have enough VRAM to mine Etherium :haha:

Since I spent the time to compile the miner from source I didn't want it to completely go to waste (yes I know it's a waste anyway because there's no way the 660Ti will make up for its power consumption), so I pointed it to some ALT (Expanse) with a lower DAG size / difficulty.

The old card still mines Expanse at 11 MH/s ... that card's starting to feel like the 250GB HDDs in the office that just won't die.

It looks like I may be able to get the RX 560 2GB to produce 'decently' on Equihash/zCash, overnight it was averaging 127.00 Sol/s which Nicehash is reporting is around 1.5 USD/Day. Getting it at at least 2 CAD/Day was always my minimum goal and now that's seemingly possible with an aggressive OC on it too.

There is no rx560 4GB in stock in Canada! I wonder if the rx560 4GB can maintain that 25MH/s because that is awfully close to what my power hog produces, at 27.5 MH/s it does 1.66 mBTC/day.

It can be done on both nVidia and AMD and on both Linux or Windows. High end cards are preferred.
Can you give an e.g.? Posters are saying you need at least 3GB?

What happens to the card? Does it get hot? Is it stressed more than playing a game or?

Yes, at least 3GB vram, gtx 1070 is a very good candidate, card gets very hot, like in Crysis 3, and yes it is stressed.
