I'd be more than happy to organize one of these, but it'll have to wait a couple months... not sure how many HWCers would show, but I'm sure we can spread the word amongst friends. Besides, we only really need 8 guys and Left4Dead to have a good time :)
 
if you like space combat sim. Freespace 2 is a Blast whether playing as a team or in a dog fight. Plus you can get it from gog.com for less than a dinner for 2 at mc donalds :biggrin:

But i also have LfD but my bloody computer is sickly right now (windows won't install reliably)
 
YES Freespace, that game was so much fun back in the day.

Someone keep me posted if/when they decide to host something.
 
Well you have another here that will attend. Does this rig qualify as a good LAN rig? I am new here to this site and been asked to come over and help this project along.

hehe, I've already concluded that good LAN rigs don't exist... even the smallest cases are a pain to move!

Do we have enough interest in this to start looking into a venue?
 
I definitely do plus a have a few friends as well that would go on a regular basis. I know a venue that you can bring booze but would cost $250 for the entire day and night (for 18 and older obviously). Would need to get some of those long tables that fold up.

I noticed that the default setting is to not be notififed of a response in a thread. Would be nice to collect emails from Ottawa in here so that we can have a mailing list to inform and organize people which is always the biggest challenge.
