Hey guy's,

How do you guy's keep both your headphones and speakers plugged in at once ? I picked up a set of kingston hyperx but I don't want to have to unplug the headset every time I want the sound to come out of my speakers.

Does an audio out splitter exist for such a thing. Kind of like HDMI splitters ?

Spekers and headpones same jack in ??

Speakes back pannel adio
Headphones froint pannel adio

My Zonar 3 is USB adio

Control pannel/ sound/ Select device/ se as Default

Aye as above, there's usually a headphone jack in the front of the case, plug it in, keep speaker power off. Turn speakers on when you want em. Pretty simple.

splitters are $5 if you don't have a case jack.

Like others have said, use the front audio ports for your headphones and the back of your motherboard for your speakers. I use a program called soundswitch which allows you to switch between the 2 using a keyboard hotkey. I've found it to be very useful.

There's also typically a setting in your sound control panel (my realtek is called HD Audio Manager) which allows you to specify whether or not rear audio is disabled when you plug something into the front panel audio jack.

Thanks,

Sorry forgot to specify I was trying to avoid having to plug the headphones into the front audio jacks. Makes for messy cabling :). I guess I could try using a splitter and just turning the speakers off when I don't want to use them....
