So cooling a RTX 3060 ti from EVGA, Put a snag in my progress, I'm in a standstill with the modifications.
First off!
Custom water blocks are available, but I wanted to try something that could save a few Dollars!.. And I Emphasize!... $ave, Dollars$.
I made many modifications to my Kraken G12 for the old style AIOs, and made progress, tell...
certain mishaps and voiding warranties put me in a small hole that I'm almost out of.. but lots of cutting and drilling required for a good fitting.

The size and its heatsink are all different to what I worked with on my EVGA 1070 SC card.

This right here is the Cut, I was forced to cut the Nvidia bracket from the KrakenG12 for a proper fitting to the holes that held the EVGA heatsink... but now the problem I missed, nothing is cooling the chips or anything around the main core of the GPU, and leaving out the fact that the Kraken G12 is a whole shield blocking air flow from hitting the card once mounted, also swivel control before tightening screws holding the mounts.

Even adding more stealthy fans for cooling of the VRMs didn't help, though nothing happened during over night operations and low rendering and other APP use, but I did hit black screens and many display shut downs for VRAMs over heating while gaming with high and low graphics settings, but nothing else was affected, other then my screen turning off and leaving me blind while other apps are still running and you can hear the home screen and Music player, I needed to reset and trouble shoot, I even reinstalled and deep cleaned my Drivers with DDU which helped, but the space and getting heatsinks on the outer chips is the struggle right now.
Over all! its possible to mod the Kraken G12 for future cards.. but its gonna leave you feeling off, or! put you in a uncomfortable situations with tools and drills for simple modifications needed, And small screws and nuts strongly needed this one only had 2 sets for the back part of the plate.. with the card I used only had threaded screw mounts on the heatsink and no bottom plate with the top plat.. so it leaves limited amount of options for plate mounting..
as for performance with and without!.. card reached my expectations with OG Cooler on! with temps reaching 70c to 80c.. closed case all fans on mid speed 1500RPMs.. noise was bad though. 35 to 40c when Idle.
With AIO mounted, 38c to 48c! with fans at 700RPMs.. almost no noise and smooth 10 to 20 minute gameplay before the shutdown of display. 30 to 32c when Idle.
Corsair LL Series fans 120mm on all Rads and front and back. >:,b
looking for solutions also, be nice to see if anyone can pick up where I left off.
moved back to my 1070, with old mounts back on.. and still able to get stable performance but.. it hurts looking at my new 3060 ti sitting in my closet >:,U!
