Has anyone bought DDR3 RAM yet? If so, please share your experience with them compare to DDR2 RAM! :D

i thought they only had the motherboards out and not the the ram but if anyone does have it it i would also much appreciate input

DDR3 has looser timings and is more expensive, but the loose timings don't seem to be as detrimental as people thought- combined with the p35 chipset, and set to reasonably high frequencies, DDR3 seems to perform VERY well, even with looser timings. They are still expensive though, and with DDR2 so cheap, it's hard to justify the extra expense, especially when over the next couple of months, faster timings and lower pricing will become available.

That sums things up perfectly. You can get a solid 2GB DDR2 kit for $150, or a sub-par DDR3 kit for $300 and not notice a single difference, real-world. Not worth it at this point in time unless you need to run 1:1 ratio with the upcoming 1333FSB processors.
