yeh...forget if it was Samsung or someone else, but the headline said some chip maker is spinning up DDR4 production again...but I still don't see DDR4 prices being reasonable as demand is going to skyrocket, use up whatever DDR4 is available now before production will spin up enough to support the new demand; if it ever does.Now it's rumor ASUS is going to make more DDR4 boards in Q1 2026 because no one can afford DDR5 (relatively speaking).

this is going to be a serious bottleneck for new technologies now that AMD and Intel are both fully committed to DDR5 platforms and now nobody can afford to buy them. that will seriously cramp any need to roll out the latest and greatest because nobody can afford it.
makes me wonder if this could push a move to help push and simplify / unify the memory technology used. it could simplify production enough and allow mass production to scale and ease stresses. I know...I know, it's a pipe dream. LoL!
