I don't understand the full extend of this lawsuit. But to me it sounded like Elon tried to use the angle that OpenAI strayed beyond non-profit to try to take over OpenAI now that it's for-profit. California jury sided with Open-AI.
IIRC he wanted to helm the company but was refused by the BoD and subsequently pushed out. It's mostly a tantrum as wanted to grift another company. The witch to the profit model was just the pretense for the lawsuit.What was even the point of this lawsuit though? An attempt to hurt OpenAI so that xAI would gain more contracts?
Seems so petty when billionaires are suing each other though... even if Musk "lost" his 38 million as a poor investment, it's a drop in the bucket of his net worth.
