2nd will be something a friend suggested certain apps/games seem to not wanna run without a page file so im going to make a drive just for this purpose.

what will this do in essence will this keep the writes for everything or just these apps/games strictly in memory? given these ssds are TLC they should be pretty Durable so that isnt a concern as ill have one in my unraid soon enough for cache/slog
I ran no paging file for many years, not a single game ever complained about a lack of it across many many titles. Unless you hit a niche game that lost its dev support that was poorly designed I doubt you would ever have an issue with it. Page file is generally only for a lack of physical memory and OS crash dump files.

For funsies I loaded WC3 FT into a ramdisk some years ago for that blink of an eye map load time.

Having the pagefile in RAM on a ram would eliminate any debugging of dump files if the system were to BSOD the same as having no page file however any software or the OS that leverages the pagefile would effectivly just be using RAM.

One major correction to earlier post is that no dump file would exist, I was thinking page file vs no page file however RAM is lost upon reboot and is not being dumped to disk (the page file default location). Doubt many even care about the dump in the event of a bsod as its obvious the cause in most cases for anyone competent and the rest generally do not care if its once in a blue moon.
