Favorite Youtube Videos of the week Thread!!!

Been watching Dahm for years, love rotary stuff, wish I had a body capable of dealing with a Sportscar's suspension. Cause if I did, I'd have an RX8 right now.

The Dahm project that's actually got me Just as excited as the 12 - Rotor? His turbo single rotor miata build! Soooo cool, so light! He's putting a custom 1 - rotor engine in comparatively massive engine bay of an NA Miata, and its going to glorious. Probably 150-200KG lighter, about double the power?

If he makes it into a kit - because he's building the basis of a rotor engine building company started - ita going to sell like crazy. Imagine an NA Miata with 250ish Hp instead of, what, 120? Can't wait to see more of that project!
Tried to buy an FB, seller was too sentimental and didn't sell. Tried to buy 2 different FC's, was willing to pay asking prices and sellers backed out last minute. The one I was just about to book the car trailer. Always wanted a rotary. Never tried to pick up an RX8 though eyeballed a couple. Hell even a REPU would be fun options (I have a hot wheels of one somewhere).

* closed course disclaimer and all that RX8 (stock?) vs slightly tweaked 4G69 Outlander *
I know a rotary kind of sucks outside the powerband but it surprised me that I was able to repeatedly get the jump against one off the line. Around the point of hitting 60kph all bets were off and shortly after the RX8 would massacre me. Thinking back on it gives the impression that a manual RX8 constantly being stuck at speeds where you just starting to touch on the powerband but never able to use it if you only drive it in the city might be kind of miserable to drive.

@Izerous yeah the two times I was lucky enough to drive an RX8 (was too young for RX7s), I found that really it really needs to be revved up to like 5k+ rpm, but it seemed to like it and was plenty responsive at and above that.

how hard is it to get mushrooms to seed for you so you don't have to continue buying the ridiculously priced mushroom kits?
it wasnt too hard once we figured out all the steps you have to take to make sure there is no contamination, you can go as far as building up a small area IE room/closet or just a plastic taped off area to work in with a HEPA filter, I just used my small area in my kitchen at the time and I had access to autoclaves which made is much easier to sterlize all the tools/medium and syringes to capture the spores from fresh muchsroom which for me was simple as I would take fresh mushrooms and place one in a petri dish for it to shed its spores then add distilled water to the dish after boiling it and letting it cool, suck it up on the syringes and store them in a cool air sealed container/location, first couple of times I had some failers but once I got it down it was pretty easy.

You can also use the peroxide method for growing, its not the normal route but I had success with it. Also you can take a cutting to produce new mycelium to expand your flowering body.

It was fun, but it is a lot of work at first once you get down your routine it it pretty easy, trying to just use a pressure cooker to sterilize the things you need, IE your tools and medium

I never grew anything wild Ie outside or any hard to grow mushroom, just white button, yes I have grown the magic kind a few times, but never my cup of tea. I always loved mushrooms when I could eat one of my favs, fried in butter. Yummy

I have tried and failed growing mushrooms , I would also like to grow the magic kind just to see if they would help with my migraines
I have a frined who uses microdosing mushroom gel caps for his migraines and have help a lot from what he told me the last time we talked about it, he was buying them offline from some place in BC I think, You can purchase mushroom grow kits if you don't want to put in the work and everything you need to do to develop them from just a spore syringes.
