GN review of Steam controller V2

So a little reading and checking the videos at $99 USD I cannot see myself buying one anytime soon. I have 2 converted stadia controllers and a series x game pad laying around already and they barely get used as it. At a lower price point might have considered getting rid of the series x controller but at that price point I'd rather put that $ towards replacing the quest 2 with the steam frame (though i'm afraid of what that will be priced at too)

My favorite are the 8BitDo Ultimates, with the XBOX controllers being a close second.

Although I appreciate Valve doing something new (and I'm sure it has it's use cases) I just can't imagine myself using a trackpad for console style gaming. If I'm playing a game that would use a trackpad, then I'm on my PC.
I haven't used that one yet, but it looks very similar to the Switch Pro controller which is stellar.

Edit due to early 'enter' hit:
I'd consider a switch pro or 8bit ultimate but streaming to my shield I found the bluetooth controllers were a little spotty, the Xbox Pro controller lets you use the xbox wireless dongle for 5ghz connection instead of bluetooth and works way better from the couch or bed than bluetooth to the shield. You have to use virtual here for it, but it's worked great since I set that up.

The 8bitdo Ultimates have a USB dongle that works great. And if you get one with a charging base, the dongle is in the base and is simply extended from the USBc connecting the base to the PC. So the base becomes the wireless dongle, keeping your required connections down to 1 for both charging and wireless.

8bitdo promises 10m range with sub-1ms latency, and I certainly believe it from my experience.
