The latest version with the top 251 cities worldwide was published yesterday. Copenhagen, Helsinki and Geneva are the top 3. Vancouver is the top North American city at 39.

39. Vancouver
74. Calgary
98. Quebec City
102. Toronto
105. Ottawa
106. Montreal
109. Kitchener
134. Burnaby, BC
167. Brampton
169. Vaughan
176. Markham
178. Burlington
192. Saskatoon
193. London
194. Winnipeg
213. Halifax
231. Regina
236. Windsor

6 of the top 10 are Nordic cities in Northern Europe, including the top 4. Tokyo is #5. Canada has 18 cities in the top 250, the US has 16. San Francisco is their top city ranked #45, with San Diego being their next placement at #155. The UK's top cities are Edinburgh at 47 and London at 48.

... Edmonton or any of the surrounding communities don't even appear to make the list which honestly doesn't surprise me.

I'm grouchy enough to knock us off the list ;)

I find it a bit odd when Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Windsor make the list.

Espescially Windsor. How the hell did Windsor show up over Edmonton.

If you hit the methodology page and scroll down, Edmonton was selected for "deep analysis" but did not have a researcher submit a qualified review. There were 102 Canadian cities in the pool originally, 30 selected for deep analysis and only 21 had valid submittals.

Not going to lie that does not surprise me either.

213 for Halifax, ouch :)
I had visited last fall, being from Toronto, I don't really know what to say other than it seemed like I didn't leave? Not that I'm a social person either but just all the normal interactions didn't seem any more friendly or happier than here lol

You were clearly doing it wrong...

😁

But seriously, culture here has a changed a lot over the years. I'm not terribly surprised you felt the same as TO (not to cast too much negativity on TO!).
