I wake up thos morning in my appartment. My appartment is like this :

The red lines are the entrance to my appartment. I have a balcony in front and one in the back. Our appartment is at the same level as the street. I was sleeping with my girlfriend!!

They broke the net and opened the door from the inside. They stole my TV (Samsung 40") and my gf's Wii+games.

I'm pisssed now!! I'll never rent an appartment at the street level again!!
 
now my question is.
HOW the hell did they manage to break in, take your TV & wii from the room right beside the bedroom.. without waking you up

I can now say that I sleep like a rock!!

It's bugging me too, but I didn't wake up..my gf too :(
 
get a big nasty dog. problem solved :biggrin:. sucks about that though man. this is why i went with a unit on the 9th floor. much harder to scale the building. You did have tenant insurance against theft right.

We'll move out next year anyways! They're building some condos behind my block and it will block all the sun and light :S

We do have insurance. I'm currently waiting for the police so I can have a report and talk to the insurance company afterward.
 
the real question is based on your deductible is it worth filing an insurance claim? i know for mine it is not as replacing my wii and tv is about $700 and based on my rates going up for filing a claim would cost me more in the end run


now if they started stealing the computers
 
get a big ole doggy lol...we had someone try to break into our place last yr and came face to face with my 2 huskies and we came home with the poor kid trapped in our porch on top of the china cabinet. some punk lil 15 yr old who was scared shitless haha.

You bring a good point Taichan. I have a 500$ deductible.

My TV is 700$ and the Wii +games+accessories is probably around 500$.

Can I call my insurance and ask how much they would increase it if I fill a claim?
