I HATE thieves!

I know it sounds messed up: But get some aircraft cable, some GOOD aircraft cable and bolt everything to the furniture they are on. No one wants to do this in their home; but unless they know the cables are there when they are coming to rob you; it'll REALLY get their nerves racked - they'll probably smash stuff but you can take care of that with insurance. I literally drilled a hole through the floor in the corner and ran a heavy gauge cable through it and my PC tower. Unless you want to spend an hour or more hacking through this thing - this comp is never leaving my room.

Problem solved.

Though I have a nice story with retarded thieves...

A few months ago when I was working at a local computer shop there was some robbers that came in at around 4am and stole some stuff (obviously) but the next morning when we arrived and saw what they stole we were laughing quite a bit... heck even the boss was.

They stole about 5 used and fubar laptops, a few old computers (as in pentium 3 and slower) that were fubar also and searched for the money in ALL the drawers behind the counter but didn't actually open the damn register where all the money was in. Also they didn't stole ANY graphic cards, cpu, motherboards, sound cards, etc and no brand new laptops or lcd screens that were still in their box right next to where they broke in! :haha:

Total lost was under 1k$ where it could have been easily 10k$ if they were not retarded. The weirdest part of this suite of failures was that I was doing a road trip with some friends the same night they broke in and actually saw their white ford bronco 'escape' the store right in front of us because we were passing in front of the store

Wow, you should have chased after them and rammed them off the road.

wouldnt the back also throw stuff at dangerous velocities, like part of the casing?

60 degree angle hmmm, you could zig zag a few tru your front yard and come out with the remote just when the thieves are in range, and up the volume a bit. 'haha, everyone dance now!!'

but seriously, prevention is always best as it was proabbly over pointed out so far..lol.
