Is anyone tempted to move to Linux after W10 support ends?

If you can get a TPM chip for your motherboard, you should be able to continue with Windows 11.

However, I do believe Windows 10 is going to be sticking around for awhile, Win 11 adoption isn't looking too great, for consumer nor for enterprises.

I thought "officially" there are just older hardware not supported regardless of TPM (onboard or plug in module).

I think the actual requirement is TPM 2.0 compliance, if it can be achieved via fTPM (firmware TPM), then you have to adhere to the official CPU supported list. If you have a hardware TPM2.0 - you are in the clear.

the one thing that years back took me a while to figure out was the programs open-source linux programs instead of the windows-based programs, I used to think the Linux programs were not so good this was because I was so familiar with the windows versions so there was a learning curve, but even now I used open-source programs on my windows machine like the Office program that I when I was using Linux a few years ago I had to use instead of Microsoft office, Now I like it better than the Microsoft office it is lighter and for me straight forward . of course there are a few other Linux programs that I dont remember the names of that work great but it has been a little while. the last time I tried ubuntu I found it slightly bloated with a fair amount of things I would never use so I probably would use Open susi again, I didn't mind Mint either, there also was one other Linux distro that was Ubuntu-based I liked but I don't remember the name of it offhand it was light and very quick .
but for gaming the games I play I highly doubt will ever be able to run smooth, except for Ark SUrvivor evolved I haven't tried the Linux version but I played around with the server on my old 2500k machine it worked great but I have know real use for it

I think the days of Windows only app may be close to being done. Even my company is porting all the server stuff to C# / .NET Core which is suppose to be cross platform like JAVA. However, I'm not sure if the graphics / 3D libraries are also ported to .NET Core.
