Let's go Team !!

I'm getting a reported ~150k PPD if I fold 24/7, which I don't.

Unfortunately there is much hit and miss with high end Radeon cards folding. When I had my 280X, half of the time the collection server was not working, which was disappointing as they chew through huge units taking a lot of time and is such a PITA to loose one. That is the main reason why I switched to a junior Maxwell, it works a lot better left unattended. Sure it picks a Core 15 from time to time, but is a lot better than a GCN card. And it does 50% of production of a GCN high end while using less than 25% less energy.

Send a note when you want to fire up the chimp challenge and I will flip the machines over from Boinc and the WCG. :thumb:

I may be back. Your introduction of the GTX 750 Ti to the world of folding with some good ROI, and (very) low power consumption may just get me to buy one and slap it in my server for some 24/7 folding....

You should come back just because.

My Garage heaters are back on...one more on the way.

Chimp challenge is dead.Let it lay.
Not to say we can't start another contest , but...

Dang, got everything I need to cobble together a garage heater for the winter except mobo & cpu. Any recommendations? Must be Intel and cheeeeeap. :haha:

Well, since I'm not longer going to frequent OCN, I will throw what machines I do do F@H on (which is only a couple i5's/i7's 12 hours a day) over to HWC.

My days of doing 81,261,805 points are behind me now, but you guys will have what I can throw your way.

Might not be worth the electricity consumed on them. SMP folding has been reorganized and is almost nothing compared with what used to be. Only A4 units and they take a long time to complete, you might do better with a lowly GPU, a Radeon HD 7790 and a GTX 750ti output kinda the same 60k PPD.

True, but the PC's stay on 24/7 anyway at the office so that people CAN remote in (which they never do). Besides, it's not me paying the electric bill.

But yeah, gone are the days of pulling 250k a day with an i7, back when I was on Team Competition. It's all GPU power now. :angry2:
