yup, adding another 2 years. system builders will have to honor that because if they don't they'll get sued to oblivion.

Between this and all of the crap over at Boeing I suspect it's a case where the c-suite pushed cost savings over best practices.

It's not just pushing cost saving, in both the Boeing 737 Max and Intel 14th gen, they are very likely the result of seeing competitor product and felt pressure to rush out a product quickly to avoid market share lost. The Airbus 320 NEO and 321 XLR are really kicking Boeing's ass in the single aisle market. Intel want to keep the performance crown no matter what but AMD was at par already so out came the 14th gen.
