Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum Headset Review Comment Thread

"Because the LEDs are RGB, you can colour-match your headset to your other peripherals for a consistent gaming experience." :shok:

Really? I have never understood the RGB keyboard trend either. Backlit yes, but strobing colours? That has never appealed to me and unfortunately often raises the price. But I guess if this option helps differentiate them from other headsets in the market, and people want it, good for them. Good design choice to put them on the back as the review points out. I'm also not sold on the G buttons on the headset but I guess options never hurt?

"The G633 gives you the option of hearing your own voice in-game, which is a great feature that not enough gaming headsets offer."

That is a good option. Hopefully it does it better than the option in Windows as that one always seems to lag and is distracting. Being able to hear myself again is one of the things I really liked when I switched to open headphones. My wife liked it too as I am not talking so loud when gaming! :bleh:

With eSports shooting into the stratosphere, there's certainly a market for color-linked peripherals to designate team colors.

Yeah eSports is a good market, I can see that. In that realm I guess it could mean the big teams pick their headset over the competition.

Wait....What?

Is this a review, preview or paid advertisement?

"The Dolby surround sound sounds great, as long as you’re not gaming—the positional audio isn’t always accurate,..."

"The Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum gaming headset is one of the best on the market,..."

"At an MSRP of $150 they’re not cheap, but gamers looking for top-tier headphones..."

I'm confused. This is a gaming headset that doesn't always provide correct positional surround sound. Yet it's still described as one of the best on the market and it's suggested that they are worth the 150.00 hit for people looking for (wait for it) top tier headphones! I don't think I would buy them for half that price. Unless there is more info we aren't getting from your time with them.
