Finding a good priced wireless for claw is tough. The mk1 is excellent and very light. I love mine. Low profile on the palm so aiming up and down is faster.Interesting one. Not wireless though, unless there is a wireless model?

Nice. I assume you gave your kids g305 a use before you pulled the pin?I ordered one of a G305. Thanks for the reminder! Can't beat the $49 CAD on sale to test out my theory. I'll give Logitech another try.
Thanks all for the input!
The Shroud looked good too, but I actually prefer a swappable rechargeable battery rather than having to plug it in to charge, so I decided against the Shroud.
Little bit yes. It is a decent mouse for sure, for the price. Plus I wanted to try a smaller mouse given the grip I use, so that was a relatively cheap option to rule out a bunch of things. Plus 2% Rakuten from Logitech!Nice. I assume you gave your kids g305 a use before you pulled the pin?

No problem but thanks! Good to know. Tested it, would have been an extra $5 off the G305, but better on more expensive items. Cool!I didn't catch this in time, but for anyone else (sorry Lysrin) if you order things from Logitech directly use code SHROUD - it's pretty much always active and stacks with existing sales. Sometimes DRLUPO will work as well but Shroud's is better.
It is most likely a mechanical issue. Those mice are notorious for terrible short lived switches. I know I have two G604's and have had switches start to fail on both and it does that same kind of thing you described along with not recognizing clicks, giving double clicks when not wanted and crap like that. I fixed my latest one by tearing it down and replacing the switches with Kailh GM 4.0 switches. Been great since.TL;DR: Do you guys have any recommendations for a wireless mouse you've found good for a more claw grip position?
I'm on my second Logitech wireless mouse, first the G602 and now the G604, and they appear to be having the same issue that is starting to point the finger back at me rather than a mechanical problem.
The left click button performance is inconsistent, and tends to drop especially when I am clicking and holding to drag items. Very annoying when organizing files and emails and you don't know where the email actually dropped!
I thought on the G602 that it was old enough that the mouse button was just failing. But the G604 is not very old and I am having the same issue. I noticed that my hand position naturally ends up being closer to a claw grip, and that got me thinking that perhaps the mouse button action is designed to be pressed more from a palm position where you'd be clicking the button farther towards the forward end of the button rather than where I normally end up, middle to the back. Hopefully you can follow that.
I did Google of course and a top one from RTings.com is the Endgame Gear XM2we (https://www.rtings.com/mouse/reviews/endgame-gear/xm2we#page-top) and that might be worth trying, but I've never heard of it before.
UPDATE: I noticed that perhaps my periods of dropped mouse clicks could be coincident with the 100% drive use periods I see on the OS drive. I need to get that cloned on the new WD NVMe to see if that resolves this 100% usage spikes. Could be I'm looking in the wrong direction, but do still provide your mouse opinions!
Certainly an option, but I am very pleased with the $49 fix of the G305 for nowIt is most likely a mechanical issue. Those mice are notorious for terrible short lived switches. So if you still like the G604 for feel and number of buttons then I suggest doing the switch swap. Be warned it is not the simplest swap but nothing too extreme.
Thanks for that suggestion though! I was distracted by work when I posted that last comment and it seems a bit abrupt on re-read!It is most likely a mechanical issue.
