Mouse recommendations for claw grip? I think...

Only thing I can suggest it a wired mouse: I just don't want a wireless connection for something so important, YMMV 🤷‍♂️

It sounds like you are describing the fingertip grip! I also use this grip and am a CM Storm Spawn die-hard. I have had this mouse for a long time and might be devastated when it eventually croaks as the MM720 is not really my style.

No it's apparently a palm grip that I use. Just my hands are sorta naturally closed / clawed inwards so my small mouse is all that fits comfortably
 
I have a cross between claw and fingertip grip I guess - the first 2 or 3 pads of my hand (the ones at the top of your hand where the fingers attach) are in contact with the top of the mouse. My 3rd finger/ring finger is applying light pressure to the right side of the mouse, where extra buttons would be, and sometimes are depending on the model. The end of my right thumb is on the left side applying slight pressure as well. So the tips of right finger 3 and thumb, pads 1,2, and sometimes 3, are what is in contact with the mouse. Trigger and middle finger just rest on the number 1 and 2 buttons. I've been using this same grip since I sold my Commodore 128 and bought my first PC which used a mouse, a 286 circa very very early 90s, maybe 91, IIRC. Too old to change it now.

So, any opinions on what the best wired mouse would be for such a grip? I have a couple of the newer SteelSeries, Rival 600 and some older Sensei or whatever. Don't particularly like them, and the software is very annoying. I also have a Razer Deathadder Mini V2 that I use with my gaming laptop. Razer software can go under the very annoying column as well. But I'll live with it if I have to with the right mouse/(mice?). I would be interested in SOME wireless types, but only if they take a AA battery or whatever - ones that have "24 to 48" hours of life before needed to be plugged in to charge the fixed internal battery might as well be wired mice for the way I end up using them, heh.

I'm looking for both full size and mini size new mice, maybe a couple different makes/models for each. Regular use and some online FPS play like CS and ARMA.

Few I'm interested in below, if anyone has any negative feedback about these, please sound off so I don't waste time buying them if there is a common problem that I haven't read or heard about with any of them.

Would you like positive feedback too @Gman109 ? :) I've been using the G305 for while now and am very pleased with it. It feels different considering how light it is compared to the G604 that I was using, but I am liking that now too. It only has basic buttons but I find I'm not missing the extras in the games I'm playing and all the clicking issues I had when I started this OP have disappeared. Pretty hard little mouse to beat for the price I'd say.

Your grip is somewhat similar to mine, I think, so you may have issues with the shape of the G502 X. That was similar in shape to the G602 and G604 that both gave me click issues. I'd definitely recommend finding that one in store somewhere to put your hand on it before you buy.

No experience with the Zowie brand so no comment on those.

Update - had the Logitech 305 now (2 of them) for a few months - picked them both up for 59.99 on sale. Wow, for such a LOW price, these things work incredibly well. I have a pile of semi older top tier "gaming" mice that are wired, and this thing is as good or better than the best of those. Using it about 10 feet away from the dongle/port for the home theater PC mouse, and it's still exact, precise, and visibly lagless.

Great recommendation, I too would tell anyone to grab these if they need a good wireless AA batter mouse. I have them set at max performance/polling, and still haven't replace the batteries that came with them, and the HTPC unit gets used a good 8 hours a day I would wager overall.

Glad they worked out for you! I've remain very pleased with mine too. I don't remember when I changed the battery last. Pretty crazy.

And I'm not a competitive FPS gaming or anything but it has been great for all my work and play requirements. Zero complaints.
