I've got a gtx460 hawk, and since this was marketed as a overclocking card rated for 1ghz on the core, I'd like to reach that advertised 1ghz. With +100mv I can get a stable 900mhz, but I'd like to try +200mv or whatever is necessary for 1ghz. The vrm's do not have any sort of heatsink on them and are cooled by the airflow of the fans. I've heard stories of the vrm's blowing up on these cards when overvolted, but if cooled at 100% fan speed with the default cooler and provided clean power, can someone confirm if MSI cover this kind of damage if it happens?
Shipping is not a problem for me, MSI is in markham I believe which is within driving distance. I've read msi's warranty policy (which implies that it isn't covered), but I'd like confirmation from people who have tried recently. Thanks!
