Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

My pleasure. It's all computer related ... even build related ... since this case is a BEAST and I have to move the monitor that is attached to the wall because the counter is only 25" deep, because ....

(Don't you just love how I can tie everything up in a nice little related package?)

I'm getting lazy in my old age ... I ordered 2 USB3.0 sleeved extensions (in white). I really didn't feel like making them from scratch, so ... now the wait begins.

I also ordered a bunch of clear sleeving combs. This should help to display the power wires I will sleeve from scratch ... the 8-pin power for the CPU, 2 6-pin power for the video card, and the 24-pin power for the motherboard.

Depending on what jobs my wife has me doing (she says she has a "project" for me to do, so I'm worried), I will most likely work on cleaning up and routing the HD Audio cable, the USB to Aquaero and wire clamping them in place. Maybe with a little luck, I can also cut the 8-pin CPU power cable to length and get that ready for the combs.

Messing with the Aquacomputer Farbwerk RGB LED controller and where I plan to put the LED strips.

So far I have one strip up top and one down below. Not sure where I would put any others. Maybe another down below over the 240 radiator, and maybe another along the opposite side of the mid plate (and maybe that will get some reflective light to further illuminate the upper bay).

Such is the joys of experimentation. :thumb:

Now that I am starting to see it coming together looks even more impressive but wowy that is some big case!! Really does give you tonnes of options doesn't it.

Yeah, it's a beast.

I'm using mostly for display purposes. Most people end up putting 2 more radiators up top (like 2 more 480mm radiators) and fill it up with insane amounts of cooling capacity.

What case is that again?

Thermaltake Core X9 "Snow Edition".

It also comes in black.

NCIX, DirectCanada, Newegg.ca, TigerDirect.ca all have them. $196 CAN after rebate + Free shipping from NCIX.

If you don't need something near as massive, they make a smaller version (which like this one, is also stackable) called the Core X2.

Thermaltake Core X2 Micro ATX Stackable TT LCS Certified Computer Case With Side Window - CA-1D7-00C1WN-00

And the even smaller, Core X1

Towards the bottom of this page is a comparison of the 3 Core cases, and the motherboards and radiators it can hold: Thermaltake - U.S.A. - Core X9 Snow Edition - CA-1D8-00F6WN-00

Oh, did I mention that if you are truly warped, you can get 2 or 3 or 4 of them, bolt them together, and make something totally insane?
