My real point is that all shipping companies are subject to the same less than intelligent officials. I have had used $10 items upgraded to $90 dollar values.

I had the item sent back and reshipped.
 
Just wanted to mention what my step-up was like in terms of shipping.

My 580 left EVGA on March 8th, from there it arrived just after midnight in Memphis. Then it left there at about 4am on the 10th and went straight through to Edmonton. It was released and on the truck as of 9:47am. I of course missed the delivery but when they tried again today my wife was home and she got it with no extra charges of any sort.

In other words this is how it is supposed to work. Since it was clearly listed as RMA on a few different spots it just went straight through and on to me. Now to get the thing installed. :biggrin:
 
That is unfortunate and based on the other responses you've gotten in this thread, I would contact EVGA directly and explain that your experience wasn't quite as smooth as many others have reported it is. Keep the letter worded nicely and give them a reason to help you (i.e. been a loyal customer for years and step up program is one of the biggest draws). The gpu gods make take pity on your mortal soul.
