If I do get 2 of these, would I really need to get the haf x? This don't get nearly as warm as the 470 or 480.
 
no. ive stuffed two in a cheap ps04b build (yes, there is hate against it from one guy in here lol). it can be found for under 40 bucks,price matched, but i guess its too cheap for your build. get the 922, you wont regret it. or the 912?

That I didn't know, thanks. If I went with cheaper cards I would probably of wanted more than 2

If I got a 470 now, i'd probably get a 2nd one boxing week or around christmas. That would give me $100 right now over dual 460 that I could put towards something else, like case or psu, and leaves me an option to expand in a year or so, ya?
 
Speaking from experience, a single GTX 470 will run practically every current game @ 1920x1080 with no problems. A good airflow case is a must though, the HAF's are good for that if a bit military for my tastes. With some aftermarket cooling, you can really push the overclock on the 470's and approach 480 performance levels fairly easily.

That military look makes my underpants moist. Then again, I think the military hummer H1 was cool.

I think I know everything I need to now...

One last question, will the 750W PSU be good enough for possible 470 sli in the near future?
Would a 850W be enough for tri-sli 470's?

850 and tri sli on 470 its going to be either very close or shut down close, under furmark of course.

I dont think cooling will be a problem, I'll be getting the haf x. Also i don't plan on OC my cpu for a while, I don't think i'll need to considering what im used to (amd turion x2 2.0 ghz :whistle:)
