NCIX bankrupt?

All remaining inventory is up for auction: https://www.ableauctions.ca/auction?aAuctionId=c79c4fb2-4d48-4c5c-bcc3-c02e37f9bccf

As well as all office furniture, supplies, etc.

Might be a chance to score some deals.

Yeah, I'm sure there's some sweet deals to be had, if you're in the market for the items, and/or plan on reselling for a bit o' profit. I noticed there were an awful lot of empty shelves, and although there were SOME vid cards & mobos, it seemed that the bulk of the new stock was cases, although it was obvious that there were multiple pics of the same stacks of cases.

Makes me wonder if there aren't some of their creditors flippin' through the pics and thinkin', "HEY, don't sell this stuff and give us pennies on the dollar, just give us our shit back!!!".....

These auctions never have any good "deals". A large portion of people will go for nostalgia reasons and the other people just don't care and are at another auction.

Well, I doubt there's likely to be many, if any, individual "deals" to be had, because when looking at the pics, and watching some of the vids( Daily Hive ), it SEEMS as though anybody bidding on this stuff will be bidding on pallets of cases, racks of motherboards, BOXES of hard drives, etc., etc. Even the used office 'puters will probably be lumped together in some fashion, otherwise it'd take them DAYS to get through all the auctions, if they were to sell individual cases, motherboards, 'puters.....

Yup, was talking with a fellow manager at my work today about the very same thing. If you want ONE of those motherboards, you won't get it. You will have to buy a stack of 20 of them. I'm not going to waste my time down there all day to get maybe one or two things I might want. I would love to hear of anybody that does go down there though, just for nostalgic reasons. :punk:

Well you can bid online if you fancy. But probably not worth your time.

Yes, you could, but then you'd need to make the trip down there on preview day(the day before the auction, IIRC) to check the stuff out, otherwise you'd be bidding on stuff without all the information you should probably have. I expect the place will probably have a lot of computer retailers there, that KNOW what wholesale cost is on all those items, and they'll be bidding appropriately.
