new camera

thats not what i meant. i mean if i click on photo i have the intention to see it full sized. having to click twice to get to full sized is distracting. (I know my site leaves much to be desired for but i haven been hard pressed for time and it was the quickest thing i could get setup.)

i did as you said to see the images full size, but with my screen resolution (1920 x1200), one image came to about 5 x 7 in.; the others i tried were a bit smaller, like 4 x 4 or 4 x 6 or so.
if you just want to show your images, then i agree it is sufficient, but if you want them to be appreciated like they should, then when you load your recent works, you should make them available in much larger sizes.

also, if you want to make them available in large sizes, then you should devise some sort of semi transparent watermark that would partly cover important parts of the image in a way that the watermark would be difficult
to remove without hurting the quality of the image. this though could be done only for larger sizes; that is, except if you don't mind risking that someone will copy them and sell them to some magazines or as prints to the public...
Personally, i don't put watermarks on my images, and i don't give a damn if someone does it; maybe because i don't have a style that others envy.

since this is a new camera thread i think i will post that i just ordered myself a canon 50d. I can't wait for it to arrive and neither can my bro as he's buying my old one from me :)

i went down to the harbour a couple hours before sunrise this morning, eager to try out my "new" camera and the damn clouds and random fog screwed those plans up. i was hoping to get some night shots of the city skyline, but that was a fail, stupid weather. i did see a tugboat though, in the darkness that was lit by only the light standard on the dock.

Oooh, do I spot some banding? The noise definitely has quite the pattern to it. Any noise reduction in Lightroom/Photoshop? And what ISO?

i pulled the back half of the boat out of total darkness, but i had to to finish off the shape of the whole boat. i will live with that noise and banding, but i will be more aware of it in the future.
