This I know since I actually play Batman: AC on a weekly basis on my gaming system that uses two HD 7870 cards. :thumb:

Which just goes to show that SKYMTL isn't an Nvidia fanboi after all, since he bought and is using two AMD cards in his own personal system. Whether or not he 'upgrades' to a couple of Nvidia cards though, remains to be seen.

On a different note, I have mixed feelings about the GTX570. Namely that I want to feel some sort of remorse for buying a 7950 and not waiting for the 570. But then I remind myself that, in fact, my 7950 plays all of my games excellently, and probably will continue doing so for the next few years. Yes, the 670 whoops the 7950 when it comes down to pure numbers, but let's be honest here, I'm not perceptive enough, nor am I running sufficient resolutions to actually notice a difference between the two cards.

So, I shall remain happy with my actual purchase, while at the same time the AMD fanboi in me laments the fact that Nvidia is releasing such potent and efficient cards.

Like it was said i think the biggest blow to ATI is the fact that the 670 can go toe to toe with the 7970 with a pcb thats under 7in long??? Wow kepler has great performance per watt.... However Im sorry but thats the ugliest reference shroud I've seen.... Hey sky can you tell us what the thermals of that EVGA card are (without the bent heatsink fins) or is that hush hush till it comes out?

So does this mean more AMD price drops in the near future? 7970 for sub $400 and 7950's for mid $300's? I'm very curious to see what the 660's will bring, may have to upgrade my 460 then.

EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked = 78°C @ full load.

Highest Boost Clock (without overclocking) 1175MHz.

The review is actually primed and ready to go but I am holding off till Sunday night to pick up on Monday traffic.

Super impressive overclocked results on this card. Definitely a better option then the 680 imo for single monitors.

Totally agree. I even feel it will be overkill for my single monitor needs. Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 aren't exactly cutting edge graphics. But this thing should run fairly cool and last me for a couple years and be able to rock plenty of games to come.

I love when SKY shuts people down when they put his methods into question. If there is one thing I have learned about SKY he does things the right way even if it is a bit different from everyone else.

Remember, these are BOOST CLOCKS we're talking about here. As such, the card hit those clock speeds most of the time but not ALL of the time.
