At just $199 NVIDIA's new GTX 960 is looking to provide a perfect combination of performance, efficiency and value for a highly competitive market segment. Its benchmark numbers are good, but are they enough?

On a side note, anyone who thinks we're biased against AMD needs to read this conclusion.

Apologies for some of the missing info as well (I intended to do 1440P testing as well) but an SSD failure required a complete redo of all the benchmarks starting the day before yesterday. Ugh!

128bit memory!!!
Why.....

Nice review like always.

128-bit memory interface was obviously added to save die space but with NVIDIA's new memory compression routines, it isn't all THAT bad. Just not great. ;)

Did everyone notice the price of the Canadian dollar? Seeing a ~30% difference between the US and Canadian prices will become the new norm.

Ha Ha, NCIX prices are between $250 and $300 so this card is not worth it. At $200 it would be totally a deal.

$200 USD is $247 CAD (without any bank charges / tax or commission).. so if there are ones at that price it's worth it.. Assuming the performance is worth the price.

Seen a few reviews that show the min frames dropping quite low... Think the 128 bit bus was a mistake myself.. should have went 192 and 3GB IMO. (then again that will probably be the 960Ti)

I was waiting on Sky's review (per usual) as I hoped it would include some info on the 960ti versions. I eventually want to get into higher than 1080p gaming and this card clearly falls short of it given Sky's review.

Ah well, start putting more $$$ aside as I wait for Sky to review the 960ti and then the R300 (rumored to be march/april lifting of NDA).

I've never heard of a 960Ti.*

However, it would make sense that NVIDIA would have something to bridge the gap between the GTX 960 and GTX 970. Heck the $250 to $275 price point is wide open!
