NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti, 2080 available for pre-order

So who wants to buy my 1080ti's?

They both have a the hybrid cooling on them. Actually maybe just sell one, and move the other to my work machine. But damn I do want. I know those games are cherry picked and such, but still they look so good and so much better with the RTX.

Yea the 2080ti launch has me wondering what they are going to do in 6 months time.

Anyone else surprised by the dual fan, non-blower design for Founders? That won't be attractive for SLI folks that are not liquid cooled right? Maybe SLI isn't an intended tech for RTX?

US dollars, don't forget. We'll be looking at $1399 Canadian RTX 2080 Ti's. I'm quite surprised they're launching the Ti simultaneously. It's usually 6-8 months behind as they get better recovery rates from production.

I think they're releasing the Ti right now because of Navi. Honestly I think this will be the shortest time we've ever seen between 2 generations. I expect Nvidia to release 7 nm cards right along amd with Navi next year.

I'm gonna hold off for reviews/benchmarks but I'm skeptical. I bet any games using raytracing will perform really well but everything else will be marginally better than last gen, 20-25 % ( 1080ti to 2080ti ) with non-raytracing games. I hope I'm wrong.

UPDATE: Ars Technica seems to think that the pricing differences are for more expensive Founder edition, and the starting at $999 "assumedly referring to video card partners producing their own models outside Nvidia's own Founders Edition line."

Maybe it'll be a blast from the past and they'll throw an X on the end so it'll be the 2080 TiX or do something silly like 2080 Ti+

Only $1650 for the EVGA RTX 2080ti CX Gaming at MemEx. $1750 for the Ultra one.

And they have a note saying "Please note that the prices of the GeForce RTX cards are subject to change due to FX rate and the possibility of tariffs."

So that is effectively about $700 more than I paid for my 1080ti cards.

The question remains, would it be worth an upgrade from current generation GTX 1070/Ti/1080/Ti?
$499USD for 2070, add taxes and all, we are looking at 750-800$ CDN.
Hmmm!!!
