Supposedly "free"/included on day one for those with Game Pass

"Oblivion Remastered comes to Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam and the Xbox App for Windows PC) and PlayStation 5. It's also available day one with Game Pass and, with Xbox Play Anywhere, one purchase on an Xbox platform means you can play on Xbox consoles, Windows PC, and cloud with full cross-entitlements and cross-saves."

I mean the list of things in that link certainly makes it worthy of the term "Remaster" I'd say. More than just bug fixes and such that's for sure (y)

Looks like with the backend still using the creation engine, esp files are the base and it's going to be possible to do a decent amount of modding.

A script extender is already up on Nexus

I think Oblivion is way more nostalgic for most people. I'm hoping this will lead to an eventual morrowind remaster.
Honestly thought Oblivion did a lot of things wrong that morrowind had gotten right. And sunk way more time into Morrowind as a result. Most of my memories of Oblivion were actually things that annoyed me, not that I enjoyed.

One positive I just noticed the remastered is on the Playable list for handhelds, could be a good way to revisit it either way.

Just looked and already 37 mods on nexus for it.

I was thinking about grabbing it, but $80 is just too much for a remaster. I just don't believe remasters should be the same as brand new games.

Is it my imagination, or did Sir PatStew re-record his lines? Pacing and intonation is different from what I remember (but it's been years)
