my MS classic's low resolution sensor is killing me on my U3415W, I have to pick it up and slide several times to go from one side to the other. I had that Kensington 6000dpi laser mouse, but it was sh!!!te and worse than this. :blarg:

what do you use at your workstation?

I use a refurb Corsair M95 in white. The cost was the same as the overpriced MS mice from Staples our detailers were getting at the time. The adjustable-on-the-fly DPI is useful to me when I zoom in and out of plans, marking stuff up on my takeoffs.

Always been a fan of the Logitech MX518...so looking at Razer's options, it looks like the Lancehead is most similar for shape.

I've got small hands though...so any recommendations, Razer or otherwise? the only requirements I have are that it works with a cloth mouse pad and that it has fwd/back side buttons.

edit - and for those with similar monitors, have you ever tried to see if sticking a wireless unify dongle in one of it's USB ports works? I know a wired mouse works and jumps between PC's connected to the monitor, but not sure about wireless. thinking maybe the MX Anywhere 2S

I'm just using a basic Microsoft 5 button unit at work. Multiple monitors but not huge and only 1080p on each. DPI isn't a issue there.

Not that you don't know this already, but I would think anything with a DPI selection option would help your issues with the large screen/large res. At home I am still using my wireless G602 and it's great. Not sure about your wireless dongle question though. I haven't tried anything like that.

The G602 is decently priced right now at Amazon.ca, not super cheap but not terrible.

I'm not completely sure what you're asking here......

To the best of my knowledge the USB on any monitor works like a standard USB hub and as such must be connected from the monitor to a USB port on the PC. Maybe there's a new standard with DP that I'm not aware of that incorporates USB along the video cable?

As far as the unify dongle goes.... I use them a lot and any mouse that's been synced with the individual dongle will communicate with it, but again, as above if it's in the monitor you'd still need a USB connection from the monitor to the PC/laptop.
