I seriously hate dealing with the Facebook marketplace crowd.... The second after I posted winter tires I was already grumpy because of people like this.

The Tires I'm selling have less than 2000 km on them and saw bare roads for maybe 500km tops.

Oh, 100% Nothing makes me stabby faster. Between people offering half of what you're asking and people just never showing up to get stuff when they say they will, it hardly feels worth it most of the time.

Sometimes it sucks, but sometimes it's fire. I sell most of my stuff there now. People here want too much of a discount. Especially when a price check thread is created, then people put lowball suggestions on price. I sold my 5090 on RFD for $400 more than the highest suggested price here. LOL. I put my 2x 16 pro max on there they sold the same day firm price, and never have to see him again. I had them on here for a few first and crickets. lol.

FBM has ratings and once both parties agree and one doesnt come through it can affect them. For low ballers I block and move on. They aren't even worth the energy to type no.

Craigslist I can sell occasionaly but something can sit there for weeks and weeks without any bites. I figure it's a ghost town now.

Someone offered me $150 and can 'pick it up today' for a Canon 17-40 L. TBH I'd rather keep it and never use it again, than respond.

I'm disappointed you didn't offer that to staff at those kinds of prices.....

Those are the kind of offers that I respond to with a "no, but for that price you can come watch me run over it in my driveway...... "

Some people are just low baller losers, best to just block and ignore. Theres enough good people on fbm to make it still a good place most of the time.

The trouble with that policy is, the seller is the ONLY person that knows where the line is between a decent offer, and "low baller". If not open to offers, you should clearly state that, or the more common phrase, "price is firm". I've seen LOTS of FBM listings that say, "no low ballers"...... does that mean "not taking offers", or "don't make an offer below the number that's my personal threshold of where low balling starts, but I'm not telling you what that number is"......

I've made offers on items that some people thought were "low ball", and often it's been a case of a seller thinking their item(s) were worth more than they are, AND I've had plenty of people make me low ball offers, in which case I either make a counter offer, or tell them they're simply way too low..... many of those offers(both the ones I've made, and those that others have made to me) ultimately ended up in sales anyway.
