Palit shows off RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti GPU

Honestly, those photos look pretty doctored to me. I suppose it's possible, since these things do get 'leaked' on purpose to create a buzz... but the biggest red flag for me is the 'ti' models being listed so soon. I'd expect 2070/2080 before 2080/2080ti. Meh... it's all just a hype train until the actual release, and they'll be too expensive by a wide margin at release anyway.
 
It's possible that the TI's are coming out along with the conventionally numbered cards. It would make the whole 'A 2080 is 8% faster than a 1080' leak make more sense if Nvidia was changing around it's numbering for a cards performance (maybe a 2080 is the new XX70, a 2080 Ti is really a XX80 and there'll be a refresh or some kind of 2080 Ti+/not-quite-Titan).

That being said, I'd still take it with loooooots of salt. It's not like it couldn't be an old page/render that they put up by mistake. The 11GB GDDR makes me more skeptical. No increase in VRAM over the last gen? Sure we're not running into the problem we had where high res textures were just coming out and we didn't have enough VRAM like with the 780/980 generations, but I'm surprised it's still the same amount as the 1080Ti

What if the new architecture was less then revolutionary (based on performance/tdp) so they felt compelled to release the ti version (large chip, much more cuda cores) at the same time for the WOW factor (and Dolla dolla bills yo)
Or they've included some Ray-Tracing compute built in that provides little to no performance bump (yet) and as such would seem not as fast as it "should" be for a new product, they'll sell you a 2100 series product in a year or 2 that may have similar guts but that have a more developed driver/use case with evolved versions of this new architecture.

Anyhoo, maybe the 1 thing these leaks point to that is a good thing...... maybe its not a paper launch and everyone will have availability.
