Lets just say that it's an explicit filter rather than implicit, and if the board owner saw fit to put it in, you probably shouldn't be looking for ways to circumvent it, seeing as "inappropriate language" is an infraction offense.

When you start filtering stuff and restraining people, they start to find ways around it. People who say it for fun can't do it anymore, but moody people will replace characters with look alikes to get around it. If hcf wants to keep up the filtering, you'll have quite some fun trying to keep up with the latest trends in bypassing filters:bleh:

That's why we have active mods on the website.

I can't think of the last time anybody was either banned or given an infraction for the occasional friendly F#%&, but I can think of quite a few for tone / context, and no... if people are actively trying to get around the filters in the hopes of disrupting the website and/or the rules of the website, they won't be around long enough to matter all that much.
 
I swear a lot. Probably more than any other person.. I've made posts here and gone back to edit it because all you could see were a bunch of asterisks and it became illegible.

My views on cursing are definitely not in line with this website; my little sister has been dropping the dirtiest words since the day she was born thanks to me. My parents hated it.
