Yup, you're a bit colder than us there, away from the water. Mine started this morning, wife has to go out, so I went for a little drive. It was making a few "holy crap it's cold!" car sounds until it warmed up! :)

Chilly for my neck of the woods!

Brrr…-24/WC-40 here…and the power went out around 8am. Luckily I have a generator to at least have some heat. Fingers crossed it doesn’t stay out for too long for those without some backup heat source

Hope they get it back up on line quickly for you. Too bloody cold to just hunker down if the heat's not running.

Any indication on what caused the outage?

BiL has a loaner truck and it's a no-go this morning as well. Had to use the trickle charger on mine as the glovebox booster wasn't too happy about the temps either, although I've had it inside so it'll probably have enough juice to get the truck going when/if we need it today. (Otherwise, we'll just wait until the warmer temps tomorrow).

I was up at the costco this morning and they've always got high winds.... -44WC feels pretty damn cold, not sure how high that would have been up at Costco, but the couple of minutes I spent outside of the car were almost debilitatingly cold (I literally felt nauseous).

Not sure, but it was the whole area around me (I think it was around 3000 homes). Luckily it was only out for around 3 hours. With the generator and some heaters we were able to keep it relatively warm considering how cold/windy it is, so no complaining from the kids.

well, they flew her down this afternoon, but had no space for my wife so Nana's at Van Gen by herself. wife flys down tomorrow morning...
 
not really a rant just a WTH
it seems that more often than not people identify as something new it seems to happen to allot, tonight I was doing an online survey and it asked what I identify as and out of the list of around 10 different things is a new one for me two spirit what the hell is that
